Geosesarma tiomanicum:
Geosesarma tiomanicum Ng 1986 is a species of freshwater terrestrial crab from Palau Tioman, Pahang, Peninsular Malaysia (WoRMS, 2022; Ng, 1986). G. tiomanicum was described by Ng (1986) in Preliminary Descriptions of 17 New Freshwater Crabs of the Genera Geosesarma, Parathelphusa, Johora, Stoliczia (Crustacea, Decapoda, Brachyura) From South East Asia.
Geosesarma tiomanicum is described visually with a carapace that is wholly a pastel pink-orange color with matching ambulatory legs, orange eyes, and mixed tones light purple chelae. Contrasting the carapace, the ventral pereon surface and the mandibular region is a vibrant dark purple.
Size of Geosesarma tiomanicum:
The male holotype’s carapace measured 10.7 by 10.2mm, so mostly squarish albeit slightly wider than long (Ng, 1986).
