The Geosesarma Database is a collaborative effort drawing on the experience independent researchers, crab enthusiasts, citizen scientists, and photographers from around the world to build a comprehensive database of crab husbandry information, tranlsation of academia into an accesible format, and pictures. The keeping of Geosesarma in captivity and in academia is a highly misunderstood and filled with misinformation, TGD's purpose is to try and create a site that complies valuable information from academia and from captivity into one site dedicated to accurate information on this amazing group of arthropods.The Geosesarma Database is aimed at collecting and compiling accurate reports of husbandry, breeding, and taxonomic positions of crabs kept in captivity, and documenting observations of species from the wild, to dispel misinformation and provide a source of scientifically-rigorous, consistent information.
